A beautiful 9,200 square foot house with Swarovski crystal-laced faucets and mother of pearl tiles in the master bathroom has sold for nearly half its asking price. The mansion is located in Priddis, 40 minutes southwest of Calgary. It had a list price of $3.9 million but was purchased at auction for just over $1.7 million.

A second luxury property down the street was listed for $2.9 million and was bought at 62 per cent discount. The buyer paid $1.1 million.

The real estate professional who represented these two homes, Mark Evernden stated the high-end real estate market is 'on the slower side, no question.' He also mentioned that the price that the buyer paid was "a great savings." Mark says the homes were new builds, appraised just under their list price.
