Handling Offers

A seller can still look at other offers even after accepting a conditional offer.

Fact

Once a client decides to sell their home, they can look at as many offers as they want.

Even if they accept a conditional offer, they can still look at other offers because the conditional offer is not final and binding until the conditions have been fulfilled or waived. However, a seller cannot accept more than offer.

If the conditions in the accepted offer are waived or fulfilled within the deadlines stated in the offer, the agreement is binding. If the conditions are not waived or fulfilled within the deadlines stated in the offer, and this is confirmed in writing, then the offer becomes null and void. This means the seller can proceed to work with another offer.
