Vancouver Home Sells For More Than $1 Million Over Asking Price

A home in the Point Grey neighbourhood in Vancouver sold for more than $1 million over the asking price.
The house in the attached picture was listed in the middle of last month and it came with a big price tag. It was listed for $7,888,000 and it sold for a whopping $9,000,060. This sale has even surprised many real estate professionals in the area. The property was sold just after two days of being on the market.
The house was built in 1986 and was purchased for $498,000. The 4,060 square foot home has an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, two balconies, a wine cellar and a workshop. It sits on a 7,150 square foot lot.
According to the listing agent, the buyers were a young couple with two children who had been searching the Point Grey neighbourhood for the perfect plot for over an year. She also mentioned that the buyers plan to rent out the home for one year while they apply for a permit to build a new one.
The listing agent said she received 11 offers in total, all in cash with no conditions attached.
One of the most unique features about the 4 bedroom property is that it comes with a gorgeous view where downtown Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay could be seen.
